Stay Informed: Protect Yourself from Unauthorised Entities, Websites, Products & Individuals
At Phillip Invest, safeguarding your investments is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that the public and our investors are aware of potential risks in the market, including unauthorised entities, illegitimate websites, unregistered investment products, and individuals.
To help you make informed decisions, we encourage you to review the Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC) Investor Alert List. This list is regularly updated with unauthorized or unregistered entities and activities that could pose risks to investors. Kindly note that this list is not exhaustive and serves as a guide to the public and investors before making any investment decisions.
What is the SC’s Investor Alert List?
The SC’s Investor Alert List is a valuable resource that highlights entities and platforms that are neither licensed nor registered with the SC, and which may be carrying out capital market activities without legal authorisation. Awareness of this list helps investors avoid potential fraudulent entities impersonating legitimate businesses, and unregulated investment opportunities.
What is Semak Mule?
Semak Mule is an application developed by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) through the Commercial Crime Investigation Department to assist the public in identifying and verifying potential fraudsters. With the rise in scams via phone calls, instant messaging, and social media, taking preventive measures is crucial. The Semak Mule platform enables you to check bank accounts and phone numbers linked to fraudulent activities.

How Can You Stay Protected?
1)Verify the Legitimacy: Always check if a platform or entity is licensed by the SC before making any investment decisions. Using the SC’s Investor Alert List can help you identify unauthorised entities, individuals, products, or websites.
2)Stay Updated: Regularly review the SC’s Investor Alert List to stay informed about any newly identified entities or activities that could pose risks. Avoid engaging with or investing through unauthorised entities or individuals, as investments with these parties are not protected under Malaysian securities laws.
3)Report Suspicious Activities: If you encounter any suspicious investment schemes, report them directly to the SC for further action.
