About the Shariah Adviser
IBFIM is a registered Shariah Adviser with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), with extensive experience in providing Shariah advisory and consultancy services for the Islamic capital market (ICM).
IBFIM provides Shariah advisory services across a broad spectrum of ICM products and services, including Islamic unit trust funds, wholesale funds, private equity and venture capital funds, Islamic real estate investment trusts (Islamic REITs), private mandates and other Shariah-compliant investment structures. Leveraging its industry experience, IBFIM supports clients throughout the product lifecycle, from product structuring and establishment to Shariah governance, ongoing advisory and Shariah compliance review, ensuring that products and operations remain aligned with Shariah principles and the applicable regulatory requirements.
Over the years, IBFIM has established a strong presence in Malaysia’s Islamic capital market through its advisory roles across a diverse range of Islamic investment products. This breadth of experience enables IBFIM to deliver practical, industry-focused Shariah guidance that supports sound governance and the effective implementation of Shariah compliance throughout the lifecycle of Islamic investment products.
As the Shariah Adviser to the Islamic funds managed by Phillip Capital Management Sdn Bhd, IBFIM provides independent Shariah oversight and guidance to ensure that the Funds are managed and administered in accordance with Shariah principles and the applicable regulatory requirements. This includes advising on Shariah matters relating to the Funds, conducting periodic Shariah reviews, assessing the Funds’ ongoing compliance with Shariah requirements, and issuing the Shariah Adviser Report to the unitholders.

1. Noor Zuraida Md Noor
Director, Shariah Consultancy
Noor Zuraida Md Noor is a senior Islamic finance and Shariah governance professional with over 20 years of experience advising financial institutions across the Islamic capital market, investment management and Islamic banking sectors. She leads strategic advisory engagements involving Islamic funds, Islamic capital market products, Shariah-compliant financial structures and governance frameworks.
Her expertise encompasses the structuring and establishment of Islamic investment products and funds, Islamic capital market advisory, Shariah governance, regulatory compliance, Shariah assurance and Shariah-compliant Financial Management Services (Pengurusan Kewangan Patuh Syariah). She regularly advises Boards, senior management and Shariah Committees on strategic governance and regulatory matters, supporting institutions in strengthening their Shariah governance and compliance frameworks.
She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Hons.) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She is also a Certified Professional Shariah Auditor (CPSA).
Leveraging her extensive industry experience and technical expertise, she provides strategic and commercially practical Shariah advisory solutions that support innovation, strengthen governance and enhance stakeholder confidence.
2. Irma Namira Missnan

Registered Shariah Officer with Securities Commission Malaysia
Irma Namira Missnan has over 14 years of experience in Shariah advisory and consultancy, with extensive expertise in the Islamic capital market, Islamic fund management and Islamic banking.
As a Registered Shariah Officer with the SC for IBFIM, she advises fund managers, financial institutions, cooperatives and public sector organisations on the establishment, structuring and ongoing Shariah compliance of Islamic investment products and services.
Her areas of expertise include the establishment of Islamic funds and Islamic REITs, Islamic investment structures, Shariah governance, product structuring, regulatory compliance, Shariah review and assurance, as well as Shariah documentation. She has led numerous engagements involving fund establishment, Shariah assessment of investment structures, governance framework enhancement and regulatory advisory, helping institutions develop robust and commercially viable Shariah-compliant solutions.
She holds a Bachelor of Shariah and Laws (Hons.) from the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) and a Certificate in Islamic Law of Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She is a Certified Professional Shariah Auditor (CPSA), holds the Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance (AQIF), and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance (ASAS).

3. Wan Hanis Syazni Wan Hussin

Wan Hanis Syazni Wan Hussin has approximately 11 years of experience in Shariah advisory, governance and compliance across the Islamic finance industry. As a Registered Shariah Officer with the SC for IBFIM, she supports advisory engagements relating to the Islamic capital market, Islamic banking and Shariah-compliant financial management.
Her expertise includes Islamic capital market advisory, Shariah governance framework enhancement, Islamic product development, regulatory compliance, Shariah review, policy development, operational implementation and Islamic financial management transformation initiatives. She has been actively involved in advisory engagements supporting the operationalisation of Islamic financial solutions and strengthening governance and control frameworks for financial institutions.
She holds a Bachelor of Fiqh and Fatwa Management (Hons.) from the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) and the Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance (AQIF).
Combining strong technical capabilities with practical advisory experience, she works closely with clients to develop effective Shariah governance and compliance solutions that support sustainable business growth and regulatory alignment.
